i never thought i would care about "blogging".
i mean seriously, what is all the fuss about? i don't have much to say and when i do who really cares but me? (well... i'd like to think my dog cares but that's most likely a fantasy) anyway, what started out as a testing blog quickly became a repository for all the weird, funny stuff i find online as a side-effect of my job and the software nerd-verse i'm in every day. mostly this was created to amuse myself through the tedious task of testing, but then i discovered that this blog was an easy place to point family and friends to when i had something to share that i thought would make them laugh, or think, or just roll their eyes.
eventually, i branched out and tried my hand at a theme-specific blogging. thus the genesis of crowbot. huzzah! my robot obsession now has its very own internerd address! on those nights where my brain won't stop spinning i can always find some tranquility gazing at my robot collection and wondering if this is why i'm single.
my point here is that through this experience, i've become somewhat fascinated with the stats page for my blogs. i get what feels like a secret view into how people interact with the content i put out there. sometimes i find that people stumble upon my blogs because of weird searches within google. it constantly amazes me what kind of content will bubble up through the magic of google.
today, something significant happened. the only thing i can relate it to is gardening. the experience of watching a seed you've planted sprout above the dirt, well on it's way to being a salient, independent entity. this blog has become a kind of internet child of mine. weird, i know. (save your jokes about being a single, thirty-something, dog owner in san francisco... i'm waaaaay ahead of you)
so today, someone searched for this in google: "katerizero zombies undead"
does it get better than that? *sniff*
