catching jellyfish with a spoon caught 16 of these today. yes... with a spoon. one of them was a deep sea variety that came up to feed in the shallow waters of richardson bay just inches from the surface. it's a bioluminescent jelly so when we tossed them all back into the bay that little guy lit up like a christmas tree with fiery red and cobalt blue flashes zipping across it's skin. here's to the tenacious curiosity of a 12 year old. without her insistence that we capture them i probably wouldn't have even noticed these pint-sized little wonders. and now, i'm pretty sure...
