What happens at the moment when we slip from life...to the other side? Is it a moment? If it is a moment, when is that moment? And what happens afterward? It's a show of questions that don't have easy answers. So, in a slight departure from our regular format, Radiolab brings you eleven meditations on how, when, and even if we die.
Don't miss a single episode. Radio lab is the most incredible radio show i've ever listened to. Fascinating topics from what happens the moment you slip away into death, to the biological justification for sperm, to musing about choice, to a riveting discussion of race.
Put on some headphones, learn something, and get back to work already!
okay... i've worked in concert venues for 10+ years and seen thousands of bands strut their stuff. from such a vantage point i can safely tell you that this all-girl "cover" band Zepparella is un-fucking-believable. not just as a concept, not just as a bunch of slender hotties who look amazing in white... but ho... ly... shit... these bitches can play. the singer's voice delivers as much power and passion as Plant himself, if that's possible. and believe me, despite the crappy sound quality of this video, you can feel it coming through. gretchen, the most captivating guitarist i think i've ever seen live, is a picture of serenity with her virgin-mary-like curls and placid face. all the while, she plays with an incredibly technical and soulful aspect, truly worthy of paying homage to Jimmy Page. oh and did i mention she used to be an airline pilot and flight instructor? does the awesomeness ever stop?! (give me a minute to catch my breath)
Bottom of the Hill in SF on November 28th. you'd be wise not to miss this one.
This guy is truly an incredible animator. And his style is right up my alley. I've always loved this poster of the industrialized version of the systems of the body. This animation is a brilliant compliment. Well done, sir. (source: Henning Lederer)
